Because the leather is smooth and unlined, it marks: the edges take on a shine before the rest, and the top records the rub of whatever shares the bag with it. That is the difference from a fabric case, which gets dirty instead of ageing.<\/p>\n
A trapezoidal body \u2014 wider at the base than at the top \u2014 so it sits flat on a desk instead of rolling. The zip is metal, on tape matched to the leather, with the stitching left visible along the side and a leather pull at the end.
