Everything you put in ends up lying down and stacked, and getting anything out means digging. The Alison has seven centimetres of depth and a flat base, so things stand up and stay where you put them.<\/p>\n<h3>The leather<\/h3>\n<p>Grained cowhide, with a visible pore and a matte surface. It is a structural leather: it holds the rectangle even when the bag is empty, without sagging or bulging. And since it is worn all day, it rubs against a coat \u2014 grain takes that well, because it absorbs marks instead of displaying them.<\/p>\n<h3>The build<\/h3>\n<p>Rectangular body with rounded corners and a flat base, with the name blind-embossed on the front. The zip starts at one corner, runs along the whole top edge and down one side, so the opening is wide and the whole interior is visible at once. Inside, <strong>a 15 \u00d7 17 cm zip pocket<\/strong> and <strong>an 11 \u00d7 17 cm open pocket<\/strong>, so small things don&#8217;t get lost at the bottom. A <strong>120 cm<\/strong> strap with a buckle to set the length, hooked onto rings on riveted leather loops. Gold or silver hardware depending on the colour.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"cl-prod-desc__uso-title\">In use<\/h3>\n<p>27 cm wide, 22 cm high and 7 cm deep, 400 grams. It takes a wallet upright, a phone, glasses in their case and a small notebook, without anything having to lie on its side.
