Forty-five centimetres wide and four hundred grams. A big bag that does not weigh: the leather is soft and the body has no structure, so it settles around what you put in rather than imposing a shape.
The leather
Argentine cowhide worked in Buenos Aires, naturally finished with the grain left visible. It is leather that softens with use: at first the bag holds itself up, and over the months it takes on the fall of whatever you carry. Empty, the sides fold inwards.
How it is made
A wide opening with a magnetic snap — it closes in one gesture, with no zip to find. Two fixed handles in the same leather, long enough that the same bag goes in your hand or over your shoulder with nothing to change. Inside there is a zipped 12 × 19 cm pouch on a swivel hook — unclip it and take it on its own.
Living with it
45 cm wide, 35 tall and 22 deep, 400 grams. At that width an A4 folder lies flat with room to spare at the sides; the 22 cm of depth are what make it a whole-day bag rather than a large handbag.
