Clutches

Casa Lopez leather clutches are for the times when nothing more than the essentials needs to travel: phone, cards, keys. Argentine cowhide worked by hand in Buenos Aires, in shapes carried in the hand or under the arm.

There are two constructions. One has a large flap and a curved base in a horizontal proportion, wide enough for a phone to lie flat with room beside it. The other runs a leather strap through the body, loops it at the top and uses it to hold the flap closed — no hardware, no zip, just leather.

This is a piece chosen for its line, not its capacity. And smooth leather starts to mark the fold of the flap with use, which is exactly when it starts to look right.
