The leather
Argentine cowhide in two finishes: smooth and embossed. There is no internal structure, so the leather does the work on its own: it takes the shape of whatever is inside, fans open when the bag is loaded and flattens when it is not. Rigid leather at this size would be a box; this one settles.
How it is made
The top stays open, with no zip or clasp: your hand goes in and out without ceremony, which is the whole point of a tote. The two slim handles are the right length to carry it in the hand or over the shoulder, which at this width is not a small thing. Inside comes a zipped leather pouch, 25 × 17 × 4, for the small things — the ones that sink to the bottom of an open tote or sit there in plain view.
Living with it
60 cm wide by 42 tall and 12 deep, 800 grams empty. A laptop lies flat inside, an A4 folder goes in unfolded, and a change of clothes fits alongside both. It works as a work bag, a weekend bag and cabin luggage. If you want it smaller, the Bogota is the same tote at 37 cm; if you would rather it closed, the Serbia has a full-length zip.
