It opens the way a letter opens. The flap falls forward, the tab slips off its stud and everything is there at once: the cards in a row, your ID behind its window, the notes in their place. Nothing to hunt for at the bottom of a bag.
The leather
Argentine cowhide. The flap is the part that works hardest, since it bends every time the wallet opens, so the stitch follows the whole edge and the edges are sealed: that is what keeps the fold from creasing over time. The grain shows, and you can feel it.
How it is made
It shuts with a leather tab and stud. Inside it opens out into three panels: six card slots, two note sections — with room for pesos, dollars and euros at once — and a clear window that lets you read your ID without taking it out. There is also a zipped coin purse and a document pocket.
Living with it
20 × 10 cm and 3 thick, 250 grams. This is a bag wallet, not a pocket one: everything goes in together and opens in one movement. To carry less, the Rosie Wallet is 10 × 11 cm.
