On a trip, papers can't be left loose. The España brings the passport, the cards, each country's notes and the tickets together in one place, and closes them under a flap. It comes with a second piece: a passport cover in the same leather, to carry inside or on its own.
The leather
Cowhide with a pronounced grain, soft to the touch, with tone-on-tone stitching running around the edge. Inside it is the same leather, with the Casa Lopez logo embossed. With use it softens and takes the shape of what it carries.
How it's made
It opens like a book. On one side, thirteen card slots; in the centre, six gusseted compartments for notes, tickets and folded papers, and a zipped pocket for what can't be lost. On the other side, more pockets and a clear window to keep an ID in view. It closes with a leather flap and a magnetic snap. The passport cover is separate: two leather covers that protect the booklet.
Living with it
20 cm high, 13 wide and 2 deep, 150 grams. It fits in a handbag or the inside pocket of a jacket. At the airport, the passport comes out in its cover and the rest stays closed; in the city, the document holder can stay at the hotel and the cover goes with you.
