At an airport everything is asked for at once: passport, boarding pass, a card to pay with, sometimes another country's notes. The Ian brings all of that together in a single piece that opens like a book, so there is no more searching through three different pockets.
The leather
Cowhide, smooth or long grain. The smooth one has an even surface and a clean cover, with nothing on the front; the long grain leaves the stretched grain on show and marks more with use. In both, the leather softens at the spine and takes the shape of the passport.
The build
A vertical format that opens in the middle. On the left, seven stepped card slots, with the embossed logo and a small Argentine flag tag. On the right, the tall pocket that takes the passport or documents. Behind, a full-length pocket for notes, a boarding pass or folded papers.
In use
14 cm high, 10 cm wide and 1 cm thick, 150 grams. Closed, it slips into a jacket's inside pocket or a bag without taking up room. Open, everything is in view: you show the passport and take out the card without closing anything.
