Fourteen cards. Not four or eight: fourteen, in a twelve-centimetre wallet that is still two centimetres thick. It is for anyone who opens their wallet and cannot find the card they want because three are stacked in every slot.
The leather
Argentine cowhide. With this many divisions the leather has to be thin so the sum does not bulk up, and that is where a well-skived hide differs from one that goes soft in three months. The edges are sealed and the stitch runs straight along every slot.
How it is made
It opens into two leaves. The fourteen card slots are stepped along both sides, so you see the edge of each one and pull out the card you want without emptying the rest — which is the point of having fourteen rather than a stack. Behind, two note sections, with room for pesos, dollars and euros. Two more inner pockets for loose things.
Living with it
12 cm wide by 9 tall and 2 thick, 100 grams. Fourteen card slots. If you carry few cards and want something minimal, the Tom Money Clip has none at all and stays one centimetre thick.
