One centimetre. And still one centimetre with the notes inside, because the clip presses them against the leather instead of stacking them in a pocket. An ordinary wallet starts slim and ends up reshaping your jacket; this one has no way to.
The leather
Grained Argentine cowhide with the pore showing. On a piece this small the whole hide is visible at a glance, so there is nowhere to hide an uneven cut: you see the even grain and the corners rounded to the same radius. The monogram is blind embossed, without ink.
How it is made
It opens like a book, in two leaves. The metal clip sits in the fold and holds the notes against one face. You pull a note out without opening anything. Argentine pesos and dollars go in alike — they are nearly the same size and the clip does not care.
Living with it
10 cm wide by 8 tall and 1 thick. There are no card slots: this is for carrying little and not hauling what you do not use. If you need room for cards, the Marcus has eight and takes notes unfolded too.
It does not grow. That is the whole point.
