The leather
Cowhide worked in Buenos Aires. The surface has enough body for the tote to hold an upright silhouette, but with the flexibility that makes daily use comfortable. Over time the leather settles into its working folds and the bag takes on a presence of its own.
How it's made
A rectangular body with a flat base and straight sides, slightly wider at the base than at the opening. Two long, flat leather handles that fall naturally to the shoulder — no rivets, no visible hardware. The opening is simple: no closure, no fastening. The profile is clean from the front and from the side.
Living with it
It takes a whole day: wallet, laptop, wash bag, a change of clothes if you need it. The flat base keeps it steady when you set it down. The handles are long enough for the shoulder or the crook of the arm. It's the bag that doesn't complicate the movement.
The Nazaret has no closure because it doesn't need one. The leather does the rest.
